Kitchen Assistant – Weezie’s (@weezieslondon)

As a Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter, you’ll be the backbone of the kitchen. From washing up to prepping veg to keeping the space clean and organised, your role helps everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

We’re looking for someone reliable, energetic, and keen to learn, someone who wants to get stuck in, stretch some dough, and support the team through every service.

Your Responsibilities

Cleanliness & Organisation

  • Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils clean and tidy at all times

  • Run the wash up area efficiently, clean as you go and stay ahead of the pile

  • Follow all hygiene, food safety, and cleaning procedures

  • Complete daily cleaning schedules and log checks

Prep & Support

  • Help with basic MEP (mise en place) and salad prep under guidance from the team

  • Support with dough stretching and handling as needed

  • Organise dry stores, fridges, and deliveries

  • Label and store ingredients properly

Teamwork & Energy

  • Work closely with the chefs to support a smooth, calm service

  • Stay switched on,  anticipate what needs doing and jump in

  • Communicate clearly and bring positive energy to every shift

  • Be dependable,  turn up on time, stay engaged, and show you care

Standards

  • Clean, tidy, and well-organised kitchen

  • Washing up kept under control during peak times

  • Food hygiene and allergen compliance always followed

Team

  • Strong support for the pizza and prep chefs

  • Positive, can do attitude on every shift

  • Reliable and easy to work with

Operations

  • Good prep levels and dough handling support

  • Efficient service flow and kitchen recovery

  • Storage, labelling, and cleanliness up to spec
